Community Access
Understanding your community access funding
We understand the importance of community engagement and social connection. Our community access services focus on creating opportunities for individuals to participate in various recreational activities, workshops, educational programs, and community events. Through these experiences, our clients can develop new skills, build relationships, and be an active part of their community.
Disability support services play a vital role in providing assistance, inclusivity, and empowerment to individuals with disabilities. Community Access with Delight Care allows participants to better engage within their local communities through recreational activities and social opportunities.
Supports included in Community Participation

Under the NDIS, community participation funding can be used to access a variety of supports and services, which may include:
Social and recreational activities: This can involve joining clubs, groups, or organisations that align with an individual's interests. It can also cover participation in community events, sports, arts, and cultural activities.
Skills development and training: Funding may be allocated to develop or enhance an individual's skills in areas such as communication, socialisation, and independent living. This can include training programs, workshops, and educational courses.
Community transport: Assistance with transportation to and from community-based activities and events can be included as part of community participation support. This may involve funding for public transport, taxi fares, or specialised transportation services.
Support staff and mentors: Depending on individual needs, funding can be allocated for support workers or mentors who can provide assistance and guidance during community participation activities.
